Please join us from 12pm to 1pm on Friday, September 20, in the Mainstage Theatre on the Brighton Campus for a free workshop with one of the Rochester Fringe Festival's visiting artists! Geno is a professional dancer and one of the judges for Fringe Street Beat.
"A popper who began their dance journey in 2010 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He trained in tutting and popping and connected but these styles led him down the path to learning the fundamentals of popping. Geno values the creation and exploration that comes with dance as well as the freedom of expression. Mixing illusionary techniques from other styles of dance to harmonize with his main foundation of popping, he has become very successful in the competitive dance realm. After traveling all over the world and acquiring the knowledge of many of the people who came before him he has formulated his own philosophies when it comes to movement. These philosophies and level of understanding have enabled Geno to be able to push to maximize their creativity without feeling as though they aren’t being true to themselves in the process, as well as not disrespecting the foundation that was implemented for us to build off of."
