MCC offers sustained professional development through our Reflective Practice Groups. Come answer questions like:
- How do I be more inclusive and equitable?
- How can I make teaching sustainable?
- How can I provide feedback that is useful to my students?
- Why aren't my students getting this? What am I missing?
To learn what it is like in an RPG meeting, watch this video created by Karen Coffey and Maryann Cianciotto (VAPA).
What happens in an RPG meeting
Please excuse the old terminology. A Reflective Practice Group will feel the same as the formerly named Critical Friends Group (CFG). For more information about the history and scope of this work, go to the new website: schoolreforminitiative.org rather than the outdated link at the end of the video.
To join an RPG, please contact the facilitators directly. Meetings are not open for drop-ins. In order to establish a trusting group where members can bring examples of real work, we ask that you commit to attending all meetings, for the whole time, during the semester.
