The Human Books Event

Downtown Campus, 2nd Floor
10:30 am - 02:30 pm

The Human Books Event uses an innovative and positive approach to challenge stereotypes and prejudices in a constructive and non-confrontational atmosphere of exploration and discovery. Members of the MCC and greater Rochester community who have a unique perspective to represent will act as "human books," and MCC students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to borrow them for 30-minute conversations, either one-on-one or in small groups.

The event is intended to encourage dialogue as a path toward developing intellectual curiosity, empathy, and empowerment through the exploration of new perspectives.
