Fall 2020 Strong Foundations Learning Community with TRS 100 and TRS 092/094
Although the full launch of Strong Foundations has been deferred to
Spring 2021 because of COVID-19, the ESOL/TRS Department is offering an imputed
credit version of that program this fall, similar to the TRS 100/092 learning
community we offered in Fall 2019 and Spring 2021. This fall, the courses will
be offered in the Remote Hybrid format. They will be taught by April
Daniels (TRS 100) and Eric Berg (TRS 092/094).
Students who place into TRS 100, TRS 092, or TRS 094 are eligible, so if you
are a student who needs those classes, or are advising a student who does,
please consider this learning community. Students will receive as much
wrap-around support as possible, and they will benefit from the sense of
connection and community that learning communities provide. There is perhaps no
better time to be part of a cohort-based learning experience, and to feel
connected to one's fellow students and instructors.
Students should register for one of the following learning community
pairs:
- TRS 100 BL3 (24772) and TRS 094-BL3 (24767)
- TRS 100-BL3 (23828) and TRS 092-BL3 (23827)
The TRS 100 sections are currently scheduled to meet MW 10:30-1:50.Those
sections will meet for 50 minutes each day (MW) once the transition to RMT-H is
finalized.
The TRS 092 and 094 sections are currently scheduled to meet 9-10:15 MTWR.
Those sections will meet for 30 minutes each day (MTWR) once the transition to
RMT-H is finalized.
