Confronting Hate: Christian Picciolini

Please join the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project, the Levine Center to End Hate, and WXXI for a presentation by Christian Picciolini, author, antiracism advocate, and former American Extremist on confronting hate and the rise of extremism in the nation. Christian works every day to break down hate groups and disengage youth from extremist groups he once was a part of himself.

For nearly two decades, Christian has helped hundreds of individuals leave hate behind through his disengagement work and the organizations he founded such as the Goldmill Group, a counter-extremism consulting and digital media firm.

Christian Picciolini will be speaking Monday, December 5th at 12:00 pm in High Falls A/B (Downtown Campus) and Monday, December 5th at 7:00 pm in the Theater (Bldg. 4, Brighton Campus). Faculty, staff, students and community members are welcome and can register online.

Also tune in to WXXI’s Connections with Evan Dawson on Friday, December 2nd from 12:00 to 1:00pm for an interview with Christian.
