Resources Available for Summer Students
After a highly successful year assisting numerous students, the Resource
team at MCC is pleased to announce that funds will be available for students
enrolled in summer classes.Beginning on May 24th the Dreamkeepers application
will re-open.
Students will also be assisted by 211 Lifeline, which is an external
agency that is replacing Single Stop. Single Stop served the college and
our students well for several years, and now 211 Lifeline offers even more
local support for students.
We are also attempting to extend the Save for Success federal program
for another year. More information will be forthcoming.
On a final note, please pass the word to any of your students that
a new federal program will provide low-income residents with a monthly
subsidy to help pay for internet service. The Emergency Boradband Benefit
Program will provide a monthly subsidy of up to $50 to eligible residents
to pay for internet services. For more informatioon on the program as well as a
list of all MCC resources for students, please visit our guide: https://libguide
