HMN 101 - Humanities: Experiencing Culture
An interdisciplinary humanities course designed to introduce students to the study of human expression through art, literature, music, philosophy, and architecture. As a required part of the course, students will attend various cultural events (plays, musical performances, gallery exhibits, lectures and speeches, etc.) on campus. They will analyze a variety of texts, visual images, and artifacts, and write about and discuss contextual influences on the arts and the creative process, such as changing cultural values and social conditions, scientific advancements, and global interdependence. 3 Credits.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 101; or equivalent; or instructor permission (ENG 101 can be taken as a co-requisite).
