B.A.Theatre (TH34)
MCC Degree Awarded:
Theatre Arts - A.S. (TH01)
Please note that some courses required in a Transfer Pathway may not be required for the MCC program. This could have financial aid implications. Students should meet with their advisor or with a transfer representative to discuss an academic plan and recommended sequence of courses.
Choose Performance
or Technical Theatre Option. Graduating
from MCC before transferring to SUNY Geneseo is strongly advised. Students
transferring without an AA or AS degree will need to take additional general
education courses at Geneseo.

Geneseo Transfer Credit Equivalency Database
"Seamless Transfer" is available to MCC students with associate
degrees in Associate of Arts or Associate of Science programs prior to
starting at Geneseo. Students who have achieved an Associates of Applied
Science do not qualify. Students without an AA or AS associate degree must
complete SUNY Geneseo local general education requirements in order to
graduate from Geneseo, including Basic Communication (i.e. “writing seminar”),
a Quantitative/Reasoning course, and laboratory science.
SUNY Geneseo requires a grade of 'C' or higher for all courses in your
chosen major.
All SUNY general education courses will transfer to Geneseo if the student
earns a grade of C- or better. Students receiving grades of D in general
education courses may not transfer in credit but will satisfy the relevant
SUNY general education categories.
All majors require 18 hours at the 300 level or above.
AP, IB, CLEP, Dual Enrollment, & Transfer courses: Credits showing
as accepted by MCC may not be transferable.
See: SUNY
Geneseo Transfer Credit and
contact Geneseo with questions.
Students completing this program will complete at least 6 required and
12 elective hours of the total 43 required hours for the Theatre major
at Geneseo, leaving at most 25 hours.

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for MCC graduation.
The Theatre Arts A.S. (TH01) will be the degree student is audited against
and awarded from MCC.

as they will make the final determination of transfer credit. |
