102; PHY 161, 261; GEG 101 with GEG 100; GEG 111 with GEG 110.
The Math Major at Brockport has three tracks: Traditional, Statistics,
Actuarial.
Additional recommended courses:
MTH 160 and MTH 260 for Actuarial Science or Statistics tracks at Brockport.
ECO 111 and 112 for Actuarial track.
# The 3-4 credit Open Elective in Semester 4 may not be necessary if
the student has already completed three 4-credit electives and has the
minimum 12 credits of electives required for the program. If this is the
case, please see your advisor for waiver.
Contact the Brockport Education Department for specific information if
you:
- intend to pursue
math and education certification
- a double major
or minor in a science subject
Because of the sequential nature of the study of mathematics, students
should meet with the Brockport Mathematics department's advisement
coordinator
as soon as possible to declare the major, be assigned a departmental advisor,
and plan an academic program.
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is advised for acceptance to SUNY Brockport.
GPA of 2.0 is required for MCC graduation.
Mathematics A.S. (MC02) will be the degree student is audited against and
awarded from MCC.
