MCC’s Health Studies program offers three track options: Clinical, Community Health, and Healthcare Administration. No matter which track you choose, you’ll build a foundation in health and wellness that prepares you to make an impact in real settings. Here are some core topics:

Flexible Learning Options

Some of the Health Studies A.S. degree program can be completed online, giving you the flexibility to learn while you balance work, family, and other commitments.

Earn Additional Credentials

You’ll have the opportunity to earn additional credentials as you complete your associate degree in Health Studies. Depending on the electives you choose, you can graduate with a microcredential in Multicultural Diversity World Health Perspective or Health & Wellness Coaching, or a certificate in Care Coordination – Community Health Navigation.

Each track option allows you to focus on a different area of healthcare while preparing you to transfer to a four-year program. Choose the area that fits your interests and career goals.

A.S.

Clinical Track

The Clinical Track prepares you for transfer into clinical healthcare programs or other health-related career pathways. You can complete the required coursework needed to apply to MCC’s competitive health programs, such as Nursing A.S., and other health-related bachelor’s degrees at four-year schools.

The Healthcare Administration Track puts you on a pathway to behind-the-scenes roles, such as managing, operating, and organizing healthcare systems, hospitals, or clinics. You’ll focus on leadership, organization, and system-level decision-making.
