International Student Services

International Student Services supports international, immigrant, and refugee students by assisting with immigration requirements, academic success, cultural adjustment, and life in Rochester. Our goal is to help you feel welcomed, supported, and connected as you pursue your goals at MCC.

Language Support

MCC provides support to students learning English as an additional language. Our ESOL English Proficiency Certificate offers intensive study of the English language to help you build your English skills, strengthen your career options, and earn college credit toward associate degree programs at MCC.

Gain a Global Perspective

At MCC, you’ll find global learning everywhere, whether you’re on the Brighton or Downtown Campus, taking online courses, or studying abroad. No matter what you study, you’ll find many ways to build cultural awareness and connect with people from different backgrounds.

Connect Across Cultures

There are many ways to get involved, make friends, and build networks at MCC.

PRISM Multicultural Center

The PRISM Multicultural Center is a welcoming space where students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, cultures, and genders gather for connection. Through workshops, films, discussions, events, and cultural celebrations, we promote inclusion, encourage cross-cultural connections, and provide a supportive environment for everyone.

Interfaith Rooms

MCC has interfaith prayer and contemplation rooms for all students, staff, and faculty. The Brighton Campus offers two interfaith rooms—one in Building 6, Room 343 that can accommodate eight to 10 people, and second space in the Advanced Technology Center. Contact Global Education and International Services to register your M number for access.

The Downtown Campus interfaith room is in the Wellness Promotion Suite on the 2nd floor, room 226E, and can accommodate one to two people. Speak with the information/public safety desk for access to this space.
