MCC’s Downtown Campus is home to the School of Community Engagement & Development with over 20 certificate and degree programs including Addictions Counseling, African-American Studies, Criminal Justice, Direct Disability Support, Child Care and Early Care, Human Services, Institutional Corrections, Paralegal Studies, Police Studies, Private Security, Teaching Assistant, Teacher Education programs, and Urban Studies.  We also offer liberal arts programming as well as a variety of courses in business and personal money management, the sciences, health education, English, sociology, psychology, speech communication, Spanish and American Sign Language and much more. We provide flexible scheduling options including full-time, part-time, online, on-campus, accelerated, and hybrid programs (a combination of online and on campus) to support students’ needs.

Through innovative teaching, internships and fieldwork experiences and campus activities, our programming prepares students not only to transfer to a four-year institution or for successful careers, but also for a lifetime of civic engagement. You will be inspired to think critically and creatively and achieve greater satisfaction in both your personal and professional lives.

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students at the Downtown Campus, welcome! We look forward to assisting you in achieving your educational and career goals. If you have any questions, please contact us at (585) 292-2341 or stop by for a visit so we can help you meet your goals and find success at MCC!  Meet the Dean.
