Tutoring

Free one-on-one and group tutoring is offered to students across academic disciplines in more than 300 MCC courses. The purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, and to assist or guide them to the point at which they become independent learners, and thus no longer need a tutor.

  • Virtual Campus Services
    Online learning is offered in a variety of modalities including web-enhanced, hybrid and fully online courses. Find out how to take and succeed in online courses at MCC.

  • In-Person Technology Help
    The Electronic Learnings are equipped with computers, scanners, laser printers, Internet access and classroom related software. The staff is always available to answer questions and/or offer assistance to students who may not be familiar with the computers and software.

  • Student Study App – Circle-In
    CircleIn is a free studying app where students can study remotely, collaborate with peers in order to communicate and exchange ideas, access tutors or Supplemental Instruction Leaders, and stay productive.

  • Transitional Studies (TRS)
    TRS courses prepare students with basic math, reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in succeed in future college-level courses.

  • ESOL Courses
    The mission of the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program at MCC is to provide non-native English speakers with intensive study of English language and culture to support their academic goals. The ESOL Program is specifically designed for students who currently have English skills at the intermediate level or above.

  • College Success and Career Development Courses
    College Success (COS) courses’ primary goal is to help students to create academic, career, and financial plans.
    Career Development courses’ primary goal is to help students understand more about themselves in order to make informed career and major decisions.

  • International Student Services
    International Services provides support to current international students who are studying at MCC on an F-1 visa. We also support incoming international students and those who are intending to change status to F-1. We also offer services for international students related to immigration and academic advisement, as well as personal and cultural adjustment to MCC.
