What You’ll Learn

 In MCC’s Computer Systems Technology A.A.S. program, you’ll learn to: 

  • Build and repair computer systems — Install, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, peripherals, and hardware components. 
  • Set up and manage networks — Work with switches, routers, cabling, IP addressing, and network security basics. 
  • Understand operating systems — Install, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, and other system environments. 
  • Strengthen cybersecurity skills — Explore threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices for securing devices and networks. 
  • Work with digital electronics — Study circuits, logic, microcontrollers, and how hardware communicates with software.

Professor Link's teaching style works really well for the content of this class and it's obvious how much time he has built into every resource he provides. He makes the class fun and engaging with his labs, and the final project is really exciting.
