Monroe Community College’s Culinary Arts program gives you real-world experience in our professional kitchen and student-run restaurant. Earn your associate degree or choose one of our short-term options to launch your career. Real Restaurant Experience

Your classroom is a professional kitchen, and your experience is real. In MCC’s Culinary Arts program, you’ll learn both the art and the business of cooking through hands-on training in Food for Thought, our student-run restaurant. You will also complete a local co-op and have the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Where Can Culinary Arts Take You?

Our Culinary Arts graduates are in demand everywhere great food is prepared, from restaurants and taverns to country clubs and resorts. MCC students have started successful careers with employers like Wegmans, Oak Hill Country Club, Carnival Cruise Lines, and Salena’s Mexican Restaurant. Your future job title could be Sous Chef, Chef, Executive Chef, Pastry Chef, Caterer, Line Cook, Head Cook, or Food and Beverage Manager

Certified Culinarian® (CC®) Certification

Graduates of the Monroe Community College Culinary Arts A.A.S degree program are eligible to receive a Certified Culinarian® (CC®) certification from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation upon graduation.
