MCC’s Graphic Design, Applied Art and Design A.A.S. program prepares you to turn creative ideas into effective visual communication. You’ll build skills in design principles, typography, image-making, digital tools, and creative problem-solving while exploring how designers communicate across print, Web, and digital media. Through hands-on projects and real-world design challenges, you’ll develop a professional portfolio that showcases your creativity and technical skills and prepares you for careers in the design industry or continued study at a four-year college.

In MCC’s Graphic Design, Applied Art and Design A.A.S. degree program, you’ll learn how to:

Create visual designs that solve problems and communicate ideas

Use typography, color, layout, and composition effectively

Design for print, web, and digital platforms

Use industry tools for image editing, vector graphics, and motion design

Develop branding, packaging, and multimedia design projects

Work through the full design process from concept to final product
