In MCC’s Solar Thermal Technology program, you’ll learn how to:

Install, test, and maintain solar thermal heating systems to industry standards

Diagnose issues and perform repairs on solar and HVAC equipment

Understand how solar energy is collected, transferred, and used for heating

Work with system components like collectors, pumps, and heat transfer systems

Apply building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes to real‑world projects

Design and size solar thermal and HVAC systems for specific applications

Through a combination of classroom learning and hands‑on training, you’ll build the foundational knowledge needed to pursue a nationally recognized credential from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners® (NABCEP®).

Pursue Further Education

Several courses in this certificate program can be applied toward MCC’s HVAC A.A.S. degree program, should you decide to continue your education.
