Degree Works

Degree Works is a web-based degree audit and advisement tool. It’s designed to assist students and Success Coaches/Advisors with evaluating academic progress toward degree completion in accordance to requirements outlined in the College Catalog.

Students can access Degree Works via myMCC.
Click on the Degree Works tile.

Degree Works Features

The degree audit includes a list of the student’s completed courses, in progress coursework, and remaining requirements.
Student information appears in the header section at the top of the worksheet, such as program/major, English/math placements, GPA, academic standing, and name of the student’s Success Coach/Advisor.
Students can use the ‘What-if’ feature to see how completed coursework meets requirements for a different degree program.
The ‘Plans’ tab allows students and their Success Coach/Advisor to create an individual semester-by-semester plan.
Courses that meet the SUNY General Education requirements for MCC degree programs are listed toward the bottom of the audit.
Degree Works can also serve as a useful tool with transfer planning to SUNY institutions.
