Types of Appointments Offered
We offer flexible appointment options to meet your needs.
The Counseling Center offers both face-to-face and tele-counseling sessions. Face-to-face
counseling is an option when safe measures are put in place. The Counseling Center’s
tele-counseling services align with state and federal laws and professional ethical
guidelines. The Counseling Center provides tele-counseling sessions using a secure
video platform. Students that reside out of NYS who would like assistance in locating
a referral should also contact the office for support. Students interested in long
term counseling will also be referred to appropriate care in their local area.
Currently, the Counseling Center is offering virtual drop-in group sessions and skill-building
workshops. Please refer to our Workshops and Events page for more information.
The Counseling Center offers “Triage” (Crisis) support during hours of operation.
The purpose of triage support is to determine a student’s immediate concern and assess
for risk factors. Upon completion of an assessment the Counselor and student will
create an action plan with next steps for support.
