No, the EOP Supplemental Aid is for college related expenses such as books and supplies.
Through the SUNY Application, select that you are interested in EOP. Once you are
admitted to Monroe Community College into a degree program, academic eligibility is
determined by the campus and is based on the applicant's high school records. First-time
college students must meet both academic and financial guidelines. FAFSA/TAP must be completed prior to starting the EOP Financial Verification Form that is sent to your email through
the SUNY application.
Applicants who meet the academic and financial eligibility and have been accepted
to the college, will receive information through their email regarding program requirements
to further determine eligibility. Interviews (in-person or Zoom-with camera on) are
required. The interview gives you an opportunity to learn more about EOP and have
all of your questions answered.
An independent student is one of the following: at least 24 years old, married, a
veteran, a member of the armed forces, an orphan, a ward of the court, or someone
with legal dependents other than a spouse, an emancipated minor or someone who is

Deadlines for EOP Admissions are June for fall semester and December for spring semester.
Admissions deadlines are subject to change depending upon the number of applications
received each semester. Students accepted to Monroe Community College are not automatically
accepted into EOP. Priority is given to students who are from historically disadvantaged
backgrounds.
No. EOP is only for a New York State Resident who is a first-time college student
or a transferring student who participated in EOP, HEOP or SEEK at their previous
college or university or a readmit student who previously participated in EOP at MCC.
