Choose Your Degree Program

As an international student, you are eligible to apply to a two-year associate degree program (certificate programs are not open to international students at this time). No matter which degree program you choose, you’ll graduate career-ready or continue your education at a four-year school.

Complete the Free Application

Apply to MCC

Apply to MCC using the free online SUNY application. Create a SUNY Account, answer each section of the application, and choose MCC as your campus choice. To allow sufficient time for the F-1 visa process, apply by June 1 for Fall admission or November 1 for Spring admission.

Once you submit your SUNY Application, you’ll get an email to set up your MCC Application Account. Review your checklist items and upload any additional documents required to process your application.

Please submit the required documents for international students . Each document must be clear, complete, and in English. Photos of documents are NOT accepted.

There are three options to submit your documents:

Upload through the MCC application portal (you will also be able to view a “checklist” of items you need to send)

Email clear PDF scans to internationaladmissions@monroecc.edu

Mail or drop off documents directly to our office at:

While we process your application and review your documents, here are a few suggestions to keep your momentum going.

Connect with International Student Services

MCC’s International Services can help support you through the admissions process, immigration and academic advising, and personal and cultural adjustments. We can also refer you to other campus services or community resources to help you transition to life as an MCC student.

Provide Proof of Sufficient Funding

Before MCC can issue your Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for F-1 Visa), you must show proof that you or your sponsor can cover one full academic year (two semesters) of expenses.

Important notes:

Costs are estimates based on current or previous academic year rates.

Tuition, fees, and housing costs may change each year.

Health insurance rates are updated annually.

If you plan to bring families or dependents, you must show additional financial support of:

$3,500 for each child

$7,000 for a spouse

If you will live with a family member or friend rent-free, you must submit a Sponsor’s Affidavit of Free Room

International students are not eligible for state or federal aid. However, there are many other opportunities to help make the cost of attending MCC more affordable.

Current Students

MCC does not award scholarships to international students at the time of admission. Once you’re enrolled, you can apply for institutional scholarships through MCC Scholarship Universe.
