TAM-180: Dimensional Metrology I

Course Description
Introduction to Basic Metrology as utilized by the Tooling and Machining Professions. In this course the student will become familiar with the fundamental skills needed to perform parts inspection. Topics of study include measurement systems and part tolerancing methods used on engineering drawings. Hands-on experience will be gained in techniques used to obtain semi-precise measurements. The student will also learn and apply the skills needed to perform a two dimensional part layout using the appropriate instruments and tools. One credit hour.
