CIS-201: Introduction to Web Site Programming and Design

Course Description

This course will provide the student with an introduction to programming and design concepts used in developing a Web site. Topics include coding HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, accessibility, programming with JavaScript, multimedia and interactivity, search engine optimization, domain name and web host selection, file transfer protocols, and implementation on a server. Students will develop an interactive, multi page Web site as a portfolio project. Two class hours, two lab hours.
