Course Description
This course provides a cross-cultural analysis of past and current global health situations through comparison of factors which affect the well-being of peoples of the world, as well as actions which are being taken and can be taken to improve world health. A major focus of this course involves challenging embedded assumptions about what actually supports good health and what actually causes poor health in various cultures around the world. (SUNY-SS) This course fulfills the MCC requirement for a social science elective.
