ESL-140

English for Speakers of Other Languages- Advanced I: Reading Focus

This course promotes the development of fluency in all skills through extensive reading, analysis, and response to narratives. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of American culture through reading and discussions. Students will complete written responses, participate in class discussions, and use online programs. If a student has already earned credit for ESL 130, they are not eligible for additional credits earned in ESL 140+145.Score of 54-64 on CELSA placement test; or ESL 100 and ESL 120, each with a grade of C or better; or permission of program coordinator.
