MTH-163: Statistics I Extended Topics

Course Description
A continuation of Statistics I, this course expands upon Statistics I topics to further students’ education surrounding statistical techniques and applications used in the social sciences. Topics include: significance tests for correlation; parameter estimation and hypothesis testing in two-sample analyses; chi-square test of independence; one-way analysis of variance. Statistical software will be used. This course is intended for but not limited to Social Science majors who have already take MTH 160. Students who have completed MTH 161 or MTH 162 may not receive additional credit for this course.
Prerequisites
MTH 160 with a grade of C or better. One class hour.
