GEG-281: GIS Crime Dashboards

Course Description
GIS Dashboards are visual displays that enable data to be shared in an easy-to-read, online format. As part of this course, students will gain an understanding of how to manage and prepare crime-related data for use in a GIS Dashboard. By the end of the course, students will be able to create a functional Dashboard that can be shared with others. Online map design principles and data visualization techniques will also be covered. An introductory understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is required in order to be successful in this course.
Prerequisites
GEG 130, or permission of the instructor.
