English for Speakers of Other Languages: College Composition Support

This course supports ESOL student success in ENG 101 (College Composition) through collaborative, integrated reading and writing experiences and reflective practice. This co-requisite course addresses the development, drafting, and revision of academic essays. Provides opportunities for non-native English speakers to refine grammar proficiency, expand academic vocabulary, and utilize the conventions of American academic discourse.

Prerequisites

Score of 70-72 on CELSA (216-219 on Accuplacer ESL: Language Use + Sentence Meaning) or permission of program coordinator. Co-requisite(s): ENG 101. Three class hours.
