Campus Peace Officer Michael Debruycker Completes Crime Scene Evidence Specialist Course

Campus Peace Officer Michael Debruycker recently completed an 80 hour Crime Scene Evidence Specialist Course at the Public Safety Training Center. 

This course trains law enforcement officers how to record and document crime scenes and how to properly collect evidence. Instructional areas include recognizing and establishing the physical boundaries of a crime scene and evidence contained within, protecting the crime scene from contamination and degradation, having a working knowledge of powder/chemical processing of evidence, knowing how to properly secure, mark and package physical evidence, and basic camera operation.
