The MCC Board of Trustees took the following actions at yesterday’s board meeting:
*Approved the hiring of Dr. Robert E. Parilla of Academic Search as the consultant to assist the board with the search for MCC’s new president;
*Approved the appointment of Hezekiah Simmons as vice president, Administrative Services;
*Approved the interim financial report as of July 31, 2008;
*Approved purchases over $10,000 for the month of July 2008;
*Approved the transfer of funds within the college; and
*Approved three retirements in accordance with Article 27 of the MCC/Faculty Association contractual agreement.
The Finance Committee also heard a presentation by MCC's auditors, Bonadio & Co., LLP, in advance of the audit getting underway.
