The fifth James Baldwin Reading and Discussion group hosted by Rochester AmeriCorps and facilitated by Professor Tokeya Graham will be this evening, November 29, 2016. Please join us for a discussion aimed to provide citizens throughout New York state the opportunity to engage in substantive conversations about race and American society through Baldwin's writings. These conversations are rich and attendees leave with more questions than answers! We hope you will join us!
The discussion will be held in the Community Room at the Damon City Campus, room 4193, from 6:00pm- 7:30pm. Feel free to come at 5:30pm for a half hour of quiet reading of the assigned Baldwin excerpts. We will have copies of the readings available and they are also attached here so you can read them in advance.
Light snacks will be provided but please bring your own drinks if needed. You are welcome to attend one or all of the sessions. Our last meeting will next Tuesday, December 6th, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
