Report Phishing Emails in Outlook
With the migration to Microsoft 365/Exchange Online for Outlook email, we now have an improved option for reporting phishing emails!
In Outlook on the Web:
- In the top bar the option is Report.
- Click the down arrow and select Report phishing.
- You can also just click on the word Report to report phishing.
- Mark emails as junk by selecting Report Junk.
In Outlook app on your desktop:
When reading a message, at the far right in the ribbon is Report Message.
- Click the down arrow and select Phishing.
- You can also select to mark an email as Junk or Not Junk.
- When you report a message as Phishing, it is moved to your Deleted Items folder.
- When you report a message at Junk, it is automatically moved to your Junk Email folder.
NOTE!! If you have clicked on anything within an email that you believe is phishing, call the Technology Support Line immediately!
To contact the Employee Technology Support Center, call 585-292-8324, option 3, M-F, 8:45am-4:45pm.
