Article Examines Community College Enrollment Trends

The Rochester Beacon recently posted an article, “A difficult decade for community colleges,” examining national and statewide enrollment trends and how MCC and Finger Lakes Community College in particular are addressing the issue.

It cites SUNY data and includes interviews with Christine Casalinuovo-Adams, associate vice president of Enrollment Management at MCC, and Lenore Friend, director of public relations and communications at FLCC. Several MCC initiatives were mentioned, including the 10-week HVAC Jumpstart program,  Vision2027 Strategic Plan, College Now, microcredentials, Pathways to MCC, and Strong Foundations.

The article also highlights 2023 MCC graduate Adam Barrett, who earned a degree in heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
