Article Spotlights Optics Chair
At a January international conference on the optics and photonics industries, MCC's Dr. Alexis Vogt gave a presentation on increasing diversity among students and professionals in the optics field. She was featured in an article highlighting her work as an optical systems technology program chair who balances career and family. Her efforts at MCC include growing the dual-enrollment optics program through partnerships with local high schools and ultimately inspiring more students to pursue optics/photonics careers.
The conference was organized by SPIE, an international not-for-profit society advancing emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth.
