Commencement Coordinating Committee Update
The Commencement Coordinating Committee represents faculty and staff from all College divisions. The committee holds its annual kick-off meeting next week, signaling their concerted effort to fully plan the event. The committee is excited that Associate Professor Tokeya Graham, member of the MCC Class of 1996, will deliver the Message to the Graduates at this year's Commencement, which will be held on Saturday morning, June 1 at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. We are also pleased to report that eight faculty and staff members have volunteered to serve as name readers, and two will be selected for that honor.
While we are fully staffed for the event, the committee welcomes any additional employees to assist with the Commencement ceremonies. If you would like to play a role in this joyous event, please email Pam Rende (prende@monroecc.edu), and we will discuss opportunities with you.
Although Commencement is nearly four months away, it is comforting to know that so many faculty and staff are already helping to prepare for the important ceremony.
