Board Lounge Closed for Renovation in July
Starting on June 28, Facilities staff will begin the process of updating the Board Lounge Conference Room. The renovation goal is to improve the technology in the room to enable video conferencing, improve sightlines, improve the audio quality, reduce noise cross-over to/from the Board Room, and reduce the glare from the windows.
The physical changes will involve installing a tray ceiling to enable a higher projector mounting point, sound deadening above the ceiling, room darkening shades, and a substantial upgrade to the wall and door that separates the board room and lounge. The existing sliding door will remain but it will be enhanced with sound deadening material and gasketing.
Finally, the tables will be upgraded to allow for cord feeds from below to eliminate wiring taped to the floor and also provide power outlets in the table. (Bring those tablet charging cords for those long meetings in the future!)
This work is scheduled to be complete by the end of July. Room reservations will once again be available for August.
