Today! Join the Wellness Council for free blood pressure checks
A major cause of premature death worldwide, hypertension—or high blood pressure—affects 68 million Americans. That’s 1 in every 3 U.S. adults. High blood pressure usually shows no symptoms, yet it puts you at increased risk for heart disease, heart failure, stroke and kidney disease, among other life-threatening complications. The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have your blood pressure tested.
The Wellness Council is teaming up with the Nursing students to offer free blood pressure checks today. Our table will be set-up outside of the Marketplace from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
We will also have information on the American Heart Association walk taking place on June 9th.
If you are participating in the Wellness Council Punch card, attend today's event and get a punch.
