Thank you to all who contributed to the American Heart Association Heart Walk held on April 13. Your help made MCC’s first year in this national event a huge success. The MCC Heart Beats team raised over $1,800 and had over 100 people participating from cookie baking to baseball games to walking the event. It is volunteers and leaders who participated that make events like the Heart Walk what it is every year.
This year the AHA national campaign is positioned to raise $620,000 to fund the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association! That’s $620,000 to fund research, programs, education, advocacy and youth events and will have a significant impact on the fight against our nation's # 1 and #4 killers!
Thanks to everyone who campaigned and walked – your help making MCC a healthier place to work and your role modeling healthy behaviors to our students and our families is making MCC a Fit and Friendly College.
Be healthy, be happy!
