13WHAM's 5 p.m. news program showed the re-enactment of a fatal DWI crash during MCC’s annual Spring Fling. The purpose of the simulated DWI crash was to help students gain a greater awareness of the realities and dangers of drunken driving. News coverage included MCC students who portrayed the motorists and passengers in the re-enactment.
Others who were involved in the event included Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, West Brighton Fire Department, Rural Metro and MCC’s Public Safety Department. The DWI re-enactment was sponsored by the Monroe Doctrine.
