SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC)

SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) essentially serves the equivalent of a statewide Scholars' Day. Students work with a faculty mentor to submit an abstract for work they would like to present at the conference. Unlike Scholars' Day, there is no possibility to win money, but participating in the conference certainly illustrates the kind of motivation, intellectual curiosity, and "love of the game" that four-year institutions find quite appealing.
