Passing of Retiree John L. Brown

I am saddened to inform the College community of the passing of John L. Brown, a Building Services retiree, on February 24, 2019.

John began working at MCC as a heavy laborer in 1977 and briefly served as labor foreman during his tenure. He was regarded as a hard worker who possessed enthusiasm and a positive attitude. In 1987, he received the Employee of the Month award. After 18 years of service, he retired in 1995.

John is survived by his nine children, 38 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are today, March 8, from 10 am to noon at Calvary Spiritual Church, 25 Morgan St., Rochester, NY 14611, followed by a celebration of John's life at the church.
