Deadline Extended for SLN and Hybrid Course Development to April 15, 2014


A SUNY Learning Network (SLN) Course Proposal is used to convert an existing course to online via the Internet through the SUNY Learning Network, Blackboard platform. Faculty with basic computer skills and a willingness to adapt teaching to asynchronous environment and to participate in required training will be provided a stipend.

The Curriculum Office is pleased to announce the development of the following ten new courses for delivery through the SUNY Learning Network beginning this academic year:

MTH 155 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I, Karen Wells
MTH156 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II, Karen Wells
MUS 119 Music and World Cultures, Roland Fisher
PHL 108 World Religions: Western Traditions, Lynn Bartholome
PHL 109 World Religions: Eastern Traditions, Lynn Bartholome
REA 101 Critical Reading, Judi Salsburg

The Hybrid Course Proposal is used to convert an existing course to online via the Internet through the SUNY Learning Network, Blackboard platform. The supplemented face-to-face instruction may not constitute more than 50% of instruction. Faculty with online teaching experience or with basic computer skills and a willingness to adapt teaching style to asynchronous environment will be provided training. Review and approval is the responsibility of the Division Dean.
