President Burt-Nanna Presents at MI-ACE Annual Conference
On June 15, MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna presented the keynote address at the Michigan American Council on Education (MI-ACE) Women’s Network 2021 Conference hosted virtually by Madonna University (Livonia, Mich.). The theme of the conference was “Advancing Women in Higher Education.”
President Burt-Nanna’s presentation, Women: Lead resiliently. Transform boldly. Elevate purposefully. emphasized the importance of seeking work-life balance and how leaders “must first lead their inner lives,” building from a quote from author and activist Christine Caine.
