In the June 27 edition of the Democrat and Chronicle, columnist Mark Hare advocates for the Upward Bound program as a solution to improving student success in city schools. His column featured Nicole “Nykki” McCawthan, a 2005 MCC graduate and an alumna of Upward Bound at the Damon City Campus.
Upward Bound is a federally funded academic program. The mission is to motivate and assist RCSD students with entry to and graduation from college.
