Some good chemistry took place on MCC’s campus last Wednesday, as Nazareth College's Dr. Richard Hartmann and Dr. Lynn O’Brien gave a presentation titled “Math and Science Scholarships - Undergraduate Student Research Opportunities: Kinetic Studies of the Lewis Acid Catalyzed Esterification of Oleic Acid” to a group of more than 40 students. The presentation was quite informative, not only for its scientific insight, but also for promoting awareness of research opportunities for our students. The event was sponsored by the MCC Chemistry Club, who provided pizza, snacks and beverages. Another talk is being planned for April. Congratulations!
