Zoom version upgrade now!

Zoom has a new policy going into effect on November 5, 2022 that will require upgrade of the Zoom client to version 5.8.6 or higher, in order to prepare for a new quarterly minimum version schedule.

Check and update your version of Zoom now to avoid having to sit through the update on November 5. If you haven’t updated your Zoom client software on your computer recently, you can manually check for updates:

  1. Click the Zoom icon on your computer to open Zoom.
  2. Login (if needed) through the SSO button.
  3. Click on the profile photo or initials in the upper right corner.
  4. Click 'Check for Updates' on the menu that appears. The update will load.
  5. Click Install to complete the update.

If administrative rights are required on an MCC computer, employees should call Technical Support at 585-292-8324, option 3, M-F from 8:45am-4:45pm for assistance. Or you can enter a ticket through Create or View Technology Support Requests .

For updates to personal computers and laptops, users should go to https://zoom.us/download to get the latest version if auto-update is not already enabled or check for updates using the steps outlined above.
