Karen Morris, Business Adminstration, wrote and presented a specialized rap called "Voters Rock" for the "Rap the Vote" event held at High Falls on Thursday, Sept. 4. The event, and the rap, was organized by Hoodstock to encourage young people in our community to become more interested in and involved with the political process. Candidates from a variety of this year’s political races were on hand to interact with the pre-voting age audience.
Morris' effort was noted in the Sept. 7 Democrat and Chronicle: "There was a live band, free food, and Brighton Town Judge Karen Morris even moonlighted as a rapper, performing a piece about the power of voting."
