Brightspace Questions? Virtual Campus Support Hours for October

The Virtual Campus provides support to faculty and staff for Brightspace and other instructional technologies. During the month of October, our support hours will be held in zoom (see schedule below). Our zoom hours are staffed by members of our Virtual Campus team and you can just drop in. You can share your screen and ask your question! We have provided this service since March 2020 and our faculty find this very helpful.  Over the last two months, we have averaged 400 visitors per month. We send weekly announcements in Brightspace about our support hours and any changes, so please be sure you have your Brightspace announcement notifications turned on and check your "Other" email mail folder.

Tuesday Afternoon (1-3pm) Zoom Appointments (October)

Last month, we piloted Tuesday afternoon appointments in zoom with Martha Kendall and we will continue this throughout the month. These are great for Brightspace questions that may need a little more time or troubleshooting. You can book a 30-minute block from 1-3pm. You can email Martha Kendall (mkendall@monroecc.edu) or use her bookings link and she will send you a separate zoom link.

Faculty Innovation Center (FIC)

Our Faculty Innovation Center is located in Building 3, room 122A on the Brighton Campus. We have six computer stations with dual monitors, webcams, and access to a printer. The FIC is open from 8:45am to 4:45pm, Monday through Friday. Faculty or staff are welcome to use this quiet workspace as needed. If you need in-person support with Brightspace, we encourage you to please use our designated zoom hours or schedule an appointment with one of our team members. 

Lecture Capture Recording Rooms

We have two sound-proof recording rooms in our 3-150 office suite that can be utilized by faculty and staff for recording purposes and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. These rooms are equipped with webcams and high-end microphones for a more polished product. One room also has a smartboard. If you need training on how to use these rooms, please contact Bailey Burritt or Jeremy Case. 

SUNY Online Help Desk

Please remember that our SUNY Online Help Desk supports Brightspace questions for both faculty, staff, and students! Check SUNY Online Help Desk website for their current hours of operation which extends beyond normal business hours. You can reach them by phone or submit a support request.
