The attached SUNY General Education Course Plan has been revised for the 2011-2012 academic year in preparation for priority advisement and registration which begins on March 14. The written description of the SUNY General Education Requirements has been modified to better reflect interpretation of the amendments that became effective Fall 2010. The “Waiver Criteria” section has been removed and replaced with new text as well.
Please note the following addition and deletions to the MCC Course Plan Knowledge and Skill areas effective Fall 2011:
Added: MTH 161-Statistics II to Mathematics
Deleted: POS 207-The Urban Political Process in the US from American History ONLY*
POS 230-Civil Liberties-US from American History ONLY*
SOC 150-Perspectives on Global Interdependence from Social Sciences ONLY*
* These courses remain in other knowledge and skill areas
Paper copies of the SUNY General Education Course Plan will be available starting Friday by contacting either the Brighton or Damon Academic Advisement Center. Any course additions approved during the year will be posted in italics to the online version of the document which can be found on the MCC website A-Z Index, SUNY General Education.
