Halloween Office Decorating Contest & Student Trick or Treat Program

Judging Time: Monday, October 31st 1:00-2:00– Department Winners will be announced Monday at 3pm

Halloween is quickly approaching and we are thrilled to announce the MCC Department Halloween Decorating Contest. The Best Decorated Department will receive a free lunch party sponsoered by First Year Experience, and bragging rights. 

Entries will be judged by the following criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Special Effects
  • Cuteness
  • Spookiness

How the competition works:

  • A Panel of Student Judges will go around between 1:00-2:00pm on Monday, October 31st to judge.
  • Candy will be provided to all participating offices for Students Trick or Treating. Each piece of candy will have a fun sticker promoting Priority Registration and other enrollment resources.
  • Students will be encouraged to go around campus to collect candy and to see the office decorations.

Ground Rules:

  • All entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 27, 2022
  • All Department decorations should be on display by 8:45am on Monday October 31st.
  • All entries must follow MCCl fire and safety guidelines- Absolutely no fog machines or open flames allowed.
  • All entries should be appropriate for all ages.
  • Please no fake weapons in your decorations and please limit the amount of gore in your decoration displays.
